The Choan Maru, Choko Maru and Chojo Maru (each 2,600 grt).
Lounges and smoking rooms were in the Chinese, European and Japanese styles respectively,
while dining saloons and entrance halls were in Renaissance style (see photos below).

On this personal website on the history of some Irish families I found a transcription of a letter
from a Bernice Loughney addressed to her sisters and dated October 9, 1933.
She tells of her voyage on the Choko Maru from Kobe to Tientsin a few days earlier.
