Transadriatica

Italy

*

Transadriatica was founded in 1925 and opened its first route between Venice and Rome early in 1926. A service to Vienna soon followed, and in 1928 the airline was flying down the Adriatic coast to Brindisi. The airline crossed the Alps in 1931 by opening a route to Munich, a great achievement in those days. In December of the same year it was bought by SAM - Società Aerea Mediterranea.
