In the late 1990s, Flugfélag Norðurlands merged with Icelandair's domestic division, Flugfélag Innanlands, to form Flugfélag Íslands, also known as Air Iceland. There are now also routes to Greenland and the Faroes. Having been renamed Air Iceland Connect in 2017, all flights are operated under the Icelandair brand since 2021.
