To Union Line.

The Monowai (11,037 grt after 1949, 519 ft. long) was built for the P&O Line.
Completed in 1925 she sailed between Marseilles and Bombay as the Razmak.
The service was withdrawn and the ship sold to the Union Line in 1930.
Beside the Wellington-Sydney route she also took part in the line's transpacific service before WW2.
During WW2 she was an armed merchant cruiser in the Royal New Zealand Navy, later a troopship.
After a thorough refit in 1949, she sailed for another eleven years between Wellington and Sydney, until broken up in 1960.
