To Standard Fruit and Steamship Co..


The Contessa (5,522 grt, 397 ft. long), along with her sister Cefalu, was delivered in 1930.
Her career with Standard Fruit came to an end in 1956 after a fire.
Sold to a Dutch company in 1959 and renamed Leeuwarden, she was idle for most of the 1960s and not scrapped until 1970.
