The Mayon (3,371 grt, 347 ft. long) was built for the line in Britain in 1930. She was the largest passenger-cargo and most luxurious ship
of its time on local routes in the Philippines. The Mayon became a war casualty in February 1942, when bombed by Japanese aircraft.
