To Pacific Coast Steamship Co.


The Congress (7,793 grt, 442 ft. long) was built in 1913. She burnt out completely in 1916 and was acquired
by China Mail Steamship Co. Renamed Nanking she sailed on a trans-Pacific route for a few years until back on the
Pacific Coast run in 1922. By then she was the Emma Alexander of Pacific Steamship Co.
After WW2 service as a British troopship she was deliberately sunk in 1946.

The President (417 ft. long) was built in 1907. Later she was the Dorothy Alexander of Pacific
Steamship Co.
until sold to Alaska Steanship Co. in 1937 and renamed Columbia. Sold again in
1946, to Portugal, she was scrapped in 1952.


The Governor (5,474 grt, 392 ft. long), built in 1907, sank following a collision in the Puget Sound area of Washington State in 1921.
