To American Export Lines.

The Atlantic (14,138 grt in 1957, 564 ft. long) was built in 1953 as a cargo vessel.
She was rebuilt in 1957 for the American Banner Lines and renamed Atlantic.
Just two years later she was sold to the American Export Lines for use on the Mediterranean service.
After having been laid up for four years, American Export finally disposed of her in 1971.
After use as a floating university she was sold for scrap in 1996.
