Flugfélag Norðurlands
Iceland
This airline was founded as Norðurflug in 1959, changing its name to Flugfélag Norðurlands in 1975. Domestic routes were flown from Akureyri in northern Iceland.
In the late 1990s, Flugfélag Norðurlands merged with Icelandair's domestic division, Flugfélag Innanlands, to form Flugfélag Íslands, also known as Air Iceland. Routes are now operated also from Reykjavik and to Greenland and the Faroes.
