This Lockheed 749A Constellation (N9816F) was delivered new to Air-India International in 1948.
After serving with Qantas and BOAC it was bought by Transocean Air Lines early in 1958.
It is seen here at the airport of Wake Island in the afternoon of June 26, 1958, waiting for
departure for Guam en route to Okinawa.
