Excerpt from BOAC timetable of May 1, 1952
(From the collection of Michael Dawes)
Here is Michael's text accompanying the image:
"This was the first BOAC timetable to carry Comet schedules, with the start of a weekly service London to Johannesburg on
2 May 1952, the world's first regular scheduled jet air service; interestingly, there is no special reference to this event
within the timetable, just the quiet substitution of one of the previous thrice-weekly Hermes services in the tables."
