To Turkish Maritime Lines.

The Ankara (6,178 grt, 409 ft. long) was built in 1927 as the Iroquois for U.S. coastal service for Clyde Line,
later Clyde-Mallory Lines. During WW2 she was used as a hospital ship, having been renamed U.S.S. Solace.
She was sold to Turkey in the late 1940s, like several other pre-war U.S. ships.
(The Adana was the former Haiti of Colombian Line, later the Monterey of
Cuba Mail Line, and the Tarsus had been the Exochorda of American Export Lines.)
The Ankara was scrapped in 1981.
