To Swedish American Line.

The Stockholm (11,700 grt, 525 ft. long) was delivered to SAL in 1948.
She was not a particularly successful liner and was sold in 1960 to East Germany, being renamed Völkerfreundschaft.
She is still in existence, now as the Athena of Classic International Cruises,
though beyond recognition, having been completely rebuilt in Italy in the mid-1990s.
Over 50 years after her sinking of the Andrea Doria, this infamous liner holds the distinction
of being the oldest passenger liner in the world of over 10,000 grt still in active service.

From a 1959 Swedish American Line cruise brochure (see below).

See this page for exterior and interior photos of the Stockholm and this page for postcards.

There are many accounts of the Stockholm's collision with the Andrea Doria on July 25, 1956.
See e.g. The Great Ocean Liners page on the Andrea Doria. See also their Stockholm page.
