To Johnson Line.

Boat deck for Lions Gate, Silver Gate, Portland, California and Canada to the left;
for Seattle, Golden Gate and Los Angeles to the right.
Passenger deck was the same for all those vessels.

The ships of the Seattle series were built between 1947 and 1953 and intended
for use on the North Pacific service. Most were scrapped during the 1970s.

Berry Gunnarsson's website Johnson Line describes all the vessels in this series on this page.
However, there seems to have been some confusion as to measurements, since both
gross tonnage and length differ considerably between all three sites I have found on the Johnson Line.
Maybe those sites saying gross tonnage was 6,900 for some of the ships are right
- this is the figure given by Johnson Line in this Argentine brochure.

You may use my images on another website.
Then please credit them as being from the collection of Björn Larsson,
and preferably provide a link to my Introduction page.
Thank you!
