To The East Asiatic Company.

The Falstria (6,993 grt, 453 ft. long) was launched in 1941 but due to the war not completed until 1945.
Apart from a few years on a transatlantic route early in her career, she sailed between European ports and Southeast Asia.
She was scrapped in 1964. Her older sister, the Selandia (8,454 grt, 452 ft. long), was put in service in 1938 and broken up in 1962.
These were unusual vessels in lacking funnels - like several other EAC ships, also those shown below.

The Lalandia (5,146 grt, 405 ft. long) and Meonia (below) (5,267 grt, 419 ft. long) were built in 1927 for the route to Southeast Asia. They were sold to breakers in 1961.

The Ships of the East Asiatic Line on Postcards website has brief histories with photos of the Falstria, Selandia, Lalandia and Meonia.
