Caribbean Atlantic Lines briefly operated the Tradewind as a cruise liner in the mid-1950s.
She had formerly been the Mexico (1906) of Ward Line and,
from 1930, the Aleutian of Alaska Steamship Co.
(and, during the early 1950s, also of
Hawaiian Pacific Line).
