Alaska Pacific Steamship Co., founded in 1906, was merged with Alaska Coast Co., in 1912
to form Pacific Alaska Navigation Co. (the original Admiral Line), which in turn merged with
Pacific Coast Steamship Co. creating Pacific Steamship Co. (The Admiral Line) in 1916.
